4creditsThis course provides a broad mathematical knowledge to calculate, analyze, and solve day-to-day problems. Topics include number theory and the real number system, algebra, graph and data interpretation, calculator usage, mathematical reasoning process, problem solving techniques, probability and statistics, geometry, and consumer mathematics. Additional supplemental instruction for students will be available through the Comet Learning Center using ALEKS as an instructional tool.
Prerequisite: MAT 102 Intermediate Algebra or an ACT Math score of 20 or an ALEKS assessment score of 29 or an ACT Composite score of 22.
