English - Transfer Major - AA

A degree in English allows students to explore the English language, immerse in literature, and examine the human condition.  Students may want to pursue a degree in English to become a teacher, but an English degree has many other  applications. The ability to communicate effectively and think critically are important skills in all jobs. An English degree would be required to work in the publishing industry but is also a viable minor for all other degrees including Business, Psychology, Social Work, Criminal Justice, and more.
