SOC 108 - Fundamentals of Diversity

3 credits
This course focuses on understanding basic concepts of how to live in and navigate a modern, diverse world.  It utilizes an intersectional approach to diversity, by understanding situations, workplaces, communities and organizations as combinations of people representing various status and experiences.  These include, but are not limited to, status combinations of: Culture, gender, ethnicity, race, sexuality, social class, immigration, religion, age, ability, urban or rural living experiences, and, educational attainment. Special focus is on learning how to live, work and function in ways inclusive and accepting of diversity.
