FIR 141 - Fire Fighter II

2 credits

This course provides basic fire training relating to the NFPA 1001 standard for Fire Fighter Professional Qualifications. It reflects the most current standards as adopted by the Fire Service Training Bureau and can prepare students to take the written Fire Fighter Two exam and the Practical Skills Performance exam.

Prerequisite:
All Fire Fighter II candidates must be certified Fire Fighter I prior to entering the Fire Fighter II certification process. All Iowa Fire Fighter I certifications issued by the Fire Service Institute meet this requirement. Those seeking reciprocity should direct their questions to the Fire Service Institute.
