BIR 140 - Woodwind Repair I

This combined lecture and lab course covers the nomenclature, mechanics, diagnostic procedures and repair processes for clarinets and flutes. Fundamental skills of padding, key corking, regulation and adjustment of mechanisms, and spring installation are emphasized.
