SUR 145 - Patient Care Concepts

This course introduces the student to the roles and responsibilities of the surgical team when delivering peri-operative patient care and surgical services. Patients’ needs, patient identification, review of the chart, documentation, and surgical positioning, skin preparation, urinary catheterization, vital signs, hemodynamics, monitoring, and discharge planning. Instructor consent required.
