PTA 158 - Medical Foundations for the PTA II

4 credits
In this course, students will examine complex conditions that impact multiple body systems, including neurological, musculoskeletal, cardiovascular, pulmonary, and integumentary systems, and consider how these pathologies influence rehabilitation. The course introduces pharmacology topics, including polypharmacy and medication interactions, and their effects on physical therapy interventions. Appropriate use of medical terminology is integrated throughout to support effective clinical communication.
