MAP 239 - Healthcare Documentation and Editing 3 credits This course develops foundational skills in creating, editing and managing accurate, clear and compliant healthcare documentation across various care settings. Students practice applying medical terminology, style guidelines, and effective documentation standards through hands-on exercises such as reviewing records, speech recognition editing, transcription and proofreading clinical reports. This course also covers strategies preparing students to produce high-quality documentation that enhance patient care and organizational efficiency.
