NET 425 - Network and System Defense

3 credits

This course enables students to design secure networks, configure network security devices, and harden Windows and Linux hosts. Students will learn how to implement firewall rules, configure Intrusion Detection Systems, and VPNs. Students will also configure system security by following best practices regarding user and file permissions, virus attacks, security templates, and patch management.
