LIT 111 - American Literature since Mid-1800s 3 credits This course offers students a survey of American literature, short story, poetry, and drama, from the Reconstruction era to the present. Major characteristics and influences that help define the genre of American writings and their authors will be examined and analyzed through discussion and written form. Special note is taken to examine voices historically under-represented in this era through writing.
Prerequisite: ENG 105 , LIT 101
