Students apply orthographic projection principles to accurately represent edges and surfaces, while incorporating industry-standard tolerances to their technical drawings. The course emphasizes the creation of precise working drawings, including sectional and auxiliary views, and covers the accurate representation of threads, fasteners, and assembly drawings. Students also learn to organize assembly drawings with part numbers, descriptions, and bills of materials (BOM), following established drafting conventions.
