ITR 112 - Interpretation and Translation Tools

3 credits

This course provides in-depth training in the research and technological tools that interpreters and translators use in their field. Students use monolingual and bilingual dictionaries and thesauri. Students explore the features of Microsoft Word and Excel for language work and glossary development and internet tools for vocabulary research and enrichment. Interpretation equipment, including digital recorders, are used for modified consecutive interpretation. Instructor/Advisor permission required.
