Elementary Education - Transfer Major - AA

The Elementary Education Transfer Major is for students who plan to become teachers in elementary schools.  This program provides a broad base of general education knowledge while also laying the foundation for a successful experience in the education field.  The Elementary Education Transfer Major was designed in conjunction with the Iowa Regents Universities to assist students who wish to transfer into elementary education programs.  This program of study may also be followed by students who wish to transfer to another college or university, but it is critical that students confer with their intended transfer institution early in their academic career.  Students who complete this AA program are not eligible for Iowa teacher licensure.  Students must transfer in order to complete a Bachelor’s degree and a state-approved teacher preparation program.
