PRL 161 - Family Law

3 credits

This course emphasizes substantive law and provides an overview of common procedures related to domestic relations law, including the formation and dissolution of marriage, marital property, child custody and support and related matters. In addition, students will receive instruction regarding skills needed in client interviewing, organization of financial records, answering of interrogatories and request for production of documents and ethical guidelines to which a paralegal should adhere.
